POY calculation

Per session

Total points = 10 + (ROI × Total buy-ins × 1.5)

Examples

Same net profit, different buy-ins — ROI rewards efficiency. Player A and B both win $60, but A used fewer bullets and earns the same play points.

Player Total buy-ins Cash-out Net profit ROI Play pts
ROI × buy-ins × 1.5
Session total
10 + play pts
A $20 $80 +$60 3.00 90 100
B $60 $120 +$60 1.00 90 100
C $100 $140 +$40 0.40 60 70
D $40 $30 −$10 −0.25 −15 −5

Player A: ROI = 60 ÷ 20 = 3.00 → Play = 3.00 × 20 × 1.5 = 90 → Total = 10 + 90 = 100

Player D: ROI = −10 ÷ 40 = −0.25 → Play = −0.25 × 40 × 1.5 = −15 → Total = 10 + (−15) = −5

Player E — up in profit, down in POY

POY is scored per session, then added up. A big loss can cost more POY than a smaller win earns — even when you're still ahead in dollars for the night.

Player Total buy-ins Cash-out Net profit ROI Play pts Session total
E (session 1) $100 $200 +$100 1.00 150 160
E (session 2) $200 $112 −$88 −0.44 −132 −122
E (combined) +$12 −8

Player E: Session 1 = 10 + 150 = 160. Session 2 = 10 + (−132) = −122. Combined net profit = +$100 − $88 = +$12, but combined POY = 160 + (−122) = −8.
